What service is used by Group Policy to deploy software on your network?

What is the folder required where an application resides that will be deployed using Group Policy?

Microsoft Installer Service (msiexec.exe)? That's the only true service I can think of that GP uses for software installs.

I think they're asking for file types, so I'd say msi, exe, and zap.

That's an odd question. Any available file share should work just fine, as long as you set the permissions and unc paths correct.
