Opinions?
I have an interview tomorrow this is one of the questions they might ask.
I think it sohuld be partially funded. Pay for flights, expenses etc. Small pay if that, not anything like a mlb contract. That would screw over the poorer particpating countries.

Opinions?

No, that's what corporate sponsors are for. Absolutely no way public taxes should go towards 1st class flights, high-end dining plans, and 5-star hotel rooms for a bunch of jocks and stuck up bitches.

absolutely not their should be 100's of millions in moneys from people paying to watch and comercials n shit. the government should in no way have anythinng to do with the olympics besides maybe spendnig the money and time to honor amercians who medal (like maybe a ceremony that shows that america is proud of their success)

you must think of the context:

if this is a government job -> of course they must be funded by the government
if this is a private company that helps organize stuff connected with olympics -> they should be funded by the government
if this is a company who has nothing to do with olympics -> they probably want lower taxes, so not funded by the gov

even if the government does not fund the olympics directly (e.g. by building stadiums), they still got tons of other costs: security, sometimes pensions for the participants

would you rather pay more taxes to have some successful sportsman/sportswoman doing some strange stuff; or have say a bit lower tax - or tax refund for private gym

You don't seem to realize how hard those Olympians work to reach the status they achieve. Haters gonna hate.

You don't seem to realize how worthless being an athlete is aside from entertainment. Entertainment should have no place in government funds.

Olympics is boring -- everyone has to be rich and afford Godly Gear to be able to stand a chance of getting in the Top 3. IMO - all sports should now allow full doping drugs and no holes barred whatever it takes to win. Then I will be entertained again.
