I needed to calculate my VO2max for my class, I got it, but now I need to explain a few things. The last part is to explain the error in submax testing

"Briefly discuss the measurement error involved with submax testing (including what the error is, and why there is error involved)."

I don;t understand what the submax testing error is, and I can't really find it online

hmm, you could be overthinking it and it could just be as simple as experimental error or instrumental error, human error, etc.
Examples could be the system miscalculated, the oxygen mask wasn't sealed tight enough to the subject, older machine with defects or something silly like that.
