Which of the following is a discretionary fiscal policy action?
a progressive tax system that leads to an increase in income tax revenues during an economic boom
an increase in the amount of unemployment compensation because more people become unemployed
an increase in Supplemental Security Income payments when more people become eligible for the benefits
a deliberate tax cut when the economy experiences high unemployment
got a few of these, this 1st one

In the extreme case of a complete crowding-out effect,
an increase in tax rates will stimulate work effort.
an increase in government spending will stimulate investment spending.
an increase in government spending will not increase aggregate demand.
an increase in interest rates will stimulate investment spending.
i think i got the first question, pretty sure the answer is "an increase in the amount of unemployment compensation because more people become unemployed"
