I have to write a paper on a product or process that relates to my engineering field which is computer science.

I have to explain what are the problems/glitches and what solutions are being used to handle these.

I have been thinking and I cannot seem to be able to find anything like this related to the field of computer science, help?

lack of data plan, battery life on mobile devices, hardware failures (see google's strategy), how does google return search results so quickly, how do poker sites get random numbers, etc
