Help me make a Rube Goldberg Machine with the following restrictions:
  • Must have 5 steps, each having one change of energy to a different form.
  • Must not measure more than 11 x 17 x 11 inches
  • Must be initiated by your hand releasing or lifting or turning something, you may not start with a push.

It must change energy types each time, but can it repeat? I mean you can use chemical, heat energies etc but it'd be a pain in the ass.

Obvious first step is a marble released on some type of ramp to turn potential into kinetic and then it strikes something.

You might be able to fit a small lift (marble falls into cup and counterweight rises to strike something), but you have a pretty small work space.

Rotational energy of a rod (something strikes rod, rod rotates to start next sequence).

Pretty much just look up youtube videos for rube goldberg and you should be able to come up with something that'll fit the dimensions.

maybe can use springs too, like maybe you can start the machine by pulling a level which compresses a spring then you release it and it sends a ball in motion (like a pin ball machine).
