I have a theory when im going to vegas

red/black

odd/even

both of these are around a 50 /50 chance( yes I know of the green spots

but if u were to bet then double up till you won, would this not work?

also I'd like to add this to the entry on gamblers fallacy:
You can be ejected from a casino in Las Vegas at any time, for any reason (or no reason at all). So even if you had an extremely large bank roll, and could find a table that would accept these doubling bets more or less indefinitely; once you were under by a large amount, you would just be ejected from the casino and take a catastrophic loss.

now... if you can find a wheel that has a defect.... :o

Despite the green spot, this wouldn't work.

At any time, your average gain would be zero.

You can see this as a sort of inverse lottery.

At a classic lottery, you bet very few, and you got very few chances to earn a lot, and very high chances to lose your bet (lose very few).

With a martingale, you bet a lot, and you have very high chances to earn very few, and very few chances to lose your bet (lose a lot).

if there is a irregularity on the roulette board you're playing on, yes. if not, no.

It would work perfectly if you had a bankroll of ∞, but then unfortunately you would have no incentive to gain.

so your saying my plan would work... but the casino would kick me out because they wouldn't want me to win...

No I'm saying your plan is a fools errand, from a mathematical and common sense perspective.
