log(x+1) = log(x^1/2)

solve for x

x+1 = sqrt(x) ????

and than wat?

square both sides:

(x+1)^2 = x

x^(2) + 2x + 1 = x

x^(2) + x + 1 = 0

then use quadratic formula to find your 2 x-values

square both sides, than put everything on one side (set one side equal to 0), then use quadratic equation and then realize you are pwned.
