So I got this little assigment for homework.



There are charges placed equally distributed on the shell of the sphere (it's empty , only a shell) the total Charge is Q


Then I have a point charge Q

I need to explain if Electrical field conducted from the sphere is same on the dot P as it's the case for the point charge.
Can't use Gauss' law

heh there is a reason Gauss's law is so useful... brutal

I think your going to have to calculate the contribution from each infinitesimal area on the surface of the sphere (dA), which don't look like much fun :(
