Been off ill university for the past week so would appreciate any help possible. Can offer many FGs (I can gather some up within a day or two)

1) Financial Reporting:
Just looking for ideas on how to approach this question, just want to be in the right direction.

1. Choose a FTSE 100 company and download the latest annual report
4. Using specific examples, discuss the potential pitfalls of using the financial data in the annual report.

Just basically, how would you approach question 4? What things would you talk about?

2) Linear Algebra
10 Multiple choice questions, if anyone is interested in doing them for me, just PM me if interested and I'll send you the questions. Will pay FGs depending on the mark. These questions will be available tomorrow at 3pm GMT. Will need the answers before midnight. Questions are a mix of Inner Product Spaces and Linear Transformations, multi-choice so should only take about 15 minutes if you are familiar with it.

Many thanks.

Smith & Nephew is a FTSE 100 Index. Pick a company you might be more familiar with. Others are Burberry, HSBC, etc.

You can go to yahoo finance, there should be an SEC Filings under EDGAR on the lefthand side. The most recent full fiscal year would be 2012.
This is the company's 10-K Annual Report. You can also look at the most recent earnings call from Q1, Q2, Q3 2013 for recent information on events/company's financial health

Pitfalls of using financial data -> earnings/net income may be bloated, paint overly optimistic picture. Your financial statements will often cover a specific point in time (2012 Annual Report, may include some previous years data but for the most part economy/events/markets are constantly changing)

Data mining, if you're searching for data to make projections/looking for patterns, sometimes bottom or top line growth is superficial (based on a new product for a product services company or new drug recently approved for a pharma company)

You would be able to find some more just by thinking or researching
