I know its Photosynthesis and cellular respiration but what is it itself?

Almost. Cellular energetics consists of glycolysis, aerobic oxidation and photosynthesis. These are basic pathways to generate energetic components in the cell like ATP, NADH, NADPH, FADH, etc.

ATP for example is like money: it's a unit of energy and it is used by a gazillion number of processes where energy is required in the cell.
