so, the slope m should be equal to -3/2


i calculated the derivative of the thing: f(x) = -6 / (3x - 2)^2

try to find x value, but i always get 2/3 which makes the denominator 0 :S

so i can't find x value, if i could then finding y value would be easy ;_;

any help would be awesome lol


also, i graphed the 2nd equation (the linear function) and it looks like one of the points is (0, -1), but i can't figure out even how to get that. :S

the first step is to know what slope you want, which is -3/2 (good job, you know this step)

now the next step, you want to know the x-value when the derivative is equal to the slope

so set your derivative equal to -3/2, and solve for x.

this gives you your x-value. now all that's left is to find the y-value.

so plug your x-value into the original equation to find the y-value
bam, all done

Hint: after working this on scratch paper, you should get 2 x-values.
So you should have 2 different points!

kept putting 6 instead of -6 in the derivative of the original equation..

gg like 2 hours wasted on it lol i suck :C
