The question is as follows:

A cruise director schedules 4 different movies, 2 bridge games, and 3 tennis games for a two-day period. If a couple selects 3 activities, find the probability that they attend 2 movies and one tennis game.

I'm not sure if I should be using the permutation rule, or combination rule, or either? The book says the answer should be 3/14 - but I have not come close to that. Can anyone shed some light on which direction I should be going with this?

total possible combination of any 3: 9C3 =81

I believe that 81 should be 84.

But in any case, 18/84 = 3/14.

I over analyzed the problem a little bit, and got a little off track. That was a bit simple.

yeah what Exx posted is right (with the correction on that 84 vs 81, just a boo boo).
