so you're saying cube each side will remove the 1/3 fractional power to get:

8 + 8 = 4^3

is that what you're saying?

answer is 12/7.....

(7x-2)^(1/3) + (7x+5)^(1/3) = 3

cube each

7x-2 + 7x+5 = 27
14x = 24
x = 12/7
