I can't find a synopsis (separated chapter-by-chapter, not just a quick paragraph review) of this book:

"A Journey to the Northern Ocean" by Samuel Hearne.

I'm reading the book, but only specific chapters. I'd like to fill myself in on the chapters I'm not reading (only specific parts of the book are required in my course, but skipping chapters leaves a lot of gaps that I want to read on but briefly).

I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

It's nearly 400 pages since it has roman-numeral pages that preface the rest of the book.

I take 2 minutes per page when I read to remember well (so I can recall information readily for essays), so 400 x 2 = 800 minutes = 13.3 hours. Not enough time.

take that time to fill the gaps between the chapters you have to read anyhow

I don't spend a lot of time on d2jsp. And I don't game. I have a girlfriend, job, and hobbies. I also have a drive time of 1 hour to school and 1 hour home.

I have four courses which are all reading-heavy. I have the equivalent of a novel per week in each course, not including assignments. When a professor says "read only these portions of the novel", I'm only going to read those portions of the novel. That equates to 20-30 hours of reading per week (it's not a matter of just getting through the information, I have to process it and remember it, and develop thesis ideas and arguments as I go, so I have to stop and write notes on each page). Add in another 10-20 hours per week of assignment work in addition to the reading, plus 2 hours 4 days a week of driving, plus 16-20 hours of class per week, and I have very little time to work, see my girlfriend, and do my own stuff.

... No need for the jabs, even if you're far off the mark.

good to see that you have a few things to do
can't do the calculation for you but how many hours are you wasting for sleep?
for us it was 4-5 hours sleep every night during the term and 5-6 hours average during the breaks
still consider those years to be the best i had so far in my life

I don't waste hours sleeping. I need 8 hours sleep every night, and that's what I average. I specifically make sure I do that, despite my time constraints. In the end, I save time.

I lift weights as well, which takes an hour out of every day, and increases my need for sleep.

Given all that, time can't be wasted. But that's not the point. This is way too off-topic. I just want a summary, but I don't think one exists.
