A wood specimen was tested in compression and failed at 5.65 kips ( 1 kip = 1000lbs), calculate the failure strength in psi.
This is not the same wood specimen and don't i have to know the area of the rectangle to calculate the Psi?
if it is not the same specimen then you certainly need some information on the area to calculate the pse
