How do I find the equation of a parabola with the information given?
Focus (2,3)
Directrix = -1

The focus is inside the parabola and is equidistant from the vertex as the directrix is so the center will be (2,.5). With that you can find the equation y=(x-2)^2 + .5.
If I'm wrong someone will correct me. Been a while since i did this.

the formula for a parabola given the focus {a,b} and the directrix y = c is
(x-a)^2 + b^2 - c^2 = 2(b-c)y
