need some helpies here: 5 short answer questions, 1 long answer question.

Not expecting you homies to do my homework for me just looking for a little advice, helpful links, etc.

You need help answering the questions, or how to approach answering them? Do you have a rubric and/or marking criteria?

Treat the short answer questions like a mini essay. There should be an introduction and conclusion sentence. I would follow the introduction sentence by stating explicitly what is significant and/or meaning of the topic (be sure to do this immediately), and trail it by several sentences that support it.

Since this is standard university/university prep evaluation, I would suggest going for roughly 11 sentences. I would suggest asking your teacher/professor what the expectations are for them, as that is always best.

While skimming over your questions I immediately thought of the military–industrial complex, I would suggest reading up on that. There is a good documentary called "Why We Fight."

I need help answering, I know what I'm going to write more or less, and I know how my prof wants it presented, just looking for any extra ideas/points that might come in handy.

I would answer the international politics is primarily about power, as that one would be easiest to harvest information. There is always going to be a power relation, between people and between countries, and aside from beneficial relationships, influence is what every country wants.

I think looking at sports would be a good place to start. There are all kinds of sporting leagues that are about building relations. There is a lot of money pooled into the Olympics and such, and much of it has to do with projecting a strong image. There were a couple years where Russia and America did not enter the Olympics (during the tension).

Religion might be something else to venture into, as an argument could be made that fundamentalism is about power. There have been high ranking Catholic Church officials that have threatened excommunication for politicians that supported things like abortion and stem cell research.

America has consumed enormous amounts of resources, and it could be suggested that most countries want to be like America.

North Korea has been an actor on the international stage recently, and has used scare tactics to establish a presence. You could look at the Dokda/Takeshima islands controversy. Both Japan and South Korea claim the islands, and so does North Korea!
