Got this:

6-x^2 / x+1 <= x

then

6-x^2 / x+1 - x / 1 <= 0 (I moved the x)

then

6-x^2 - x(x+1) / x+1 <= 0

then

6-x^2-x^2-x / x + 1 <= 0

I'm stuck here, any tip or help would be greatly appreciated.

Next combine and factor the numerator:

(-2x^2 -x +6)/ (x+1) <= 0

(-2x +3)(x +2)/ (x+1) <= 0

Then set each equal to 0.

3/2, -2, -1

Now we need to select test values.

A number greater than 3/2, let's try 2.

(-2*2+3)(2 +2)/ (2+1)=(-4+3)(4)/3= (-1*4)/3= -4/3, so this is <= 0 so it is true. Numbers above 3/2 are <= 0

Now let's test less than -1, but greater than -2, let's do -3/2

(-2 (-3/2)+3)((-3/2) +2)/ ((-3/2)+1)
(3+3)(.5)/(-.5)=-6. So less than -1 is also true, but now we need to check less than -2

Let's do -3

(-2 *-3 +3)(-3+2)/ (-3+1)

(6+3)(-1)/(-2)
-9/-2= 9/2, so this isn't true.

So our values that make this true are greater than 3/2, less than -1, but greater than -2

should there be parentheses/brackets in 6-x^2 / x+1 <= x? ie (6-x^2)/(x+1) <= x?
