Okay I am gonna write everything slowly, step by step for you so you understand.
Please tell me which step it is which you disagree with:

Step 1: x = 0.999... (this is merely substituting x with 0.999...)
Step 2: 10x = 9.999... (multiplying both sides of the equation by 10)
Step 3: 10x - x = 9.999... - 0.999... (this is merely substituting 10x - x with what we already know 10x equals and x equals)
Step 4: 9.999... - 0.999... = 9 (simple mathematical equation)
Step 5: 9x = 9 (since the last equation was the same as 10x - x which equals 9)
Step 6: x = 1 (divide both sides of the equation by 9)
Step 7: 0.999... = 1 (since we know that x = 0.999... and x = 1, then 0.999... must equal 1)

guess what! 10x = 9.99

unless ur trying to disguise bad math skills by saying you have the power to change only one side of the equation to INF + (1) while keeping the other thing just INF
and if you say they are the same thing, well i will just magically make it back to INF again and prove u wrong. kthxkrai nub.

but ur saying you can do 10 (.9999...) = 9+(.999...)
just to dumb it down for u idiotic nubby, because the main reason why .9... can't be one is due to the fact that it will always be infinitely away from one ; )

OHSHIT Magikarpet has just managed to disprove something considered uncontroversial by mathematics for the last century with various different proofs coming from all sorts of branches of math.

8/9=.88888....
9/9=.99999....

u are using fractions, ur limiting urself by dividing

do u realize that .9/9 = .1
and 1/9 =.1...
as you can see one is true, while the other is just an aproximation which doesn't mean it's exactly it...
and for 5/6/7/8

at some point for 5 theres a . (6), at 6 a . (7) etc which would make, yes 9 have a . (10)

Obviously the equation for 1/9 - 9/9 is flawed at it's base and through the enigma of infinity the numbers eventually round up on their on.

even on their own 6/9 = .66666666666666666666667

or close to that ( in coordination w/ the amount of 6's)

so u used bad math also considering 6, 7, 8, 9 do not equal what u said the equal
