D2jsp trolling is my hobby, son.
Infact, it's more than just a hobby.
It's a lifestyle.

Not a real number. Try again.

Yes it is?

.00...1 is shorthand notation for what people are attempting to express as .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001, only it assumes an infinite number of zeros

Quite literally not a real number. Infinitesimals aren't real. They're "Hyperreal."

Several properties of real numbers easily prove that numbers such as this are not real numbers.
As AiNede said (and as I already said in this thread), infinitesimals are not real numbers.

Just think about it: how can you have a 1 *after* an INFINITE number of zeros? The zeros don't end. They go on. Forever. Nothing comes after them except for more zeros.

Hence the shorthand notation. -_-

The difference between 1 and 0.9999999999999... which converges to 0.00...1 which converges to 0.

CONVERGES.

THEY ARE NOT THE SAME.

END THREAD KTHX.
