you would think o.o but this has been said many times before and thead still continues.

Dark or Taxi
About Gabriels Trumpet
think you could explain to me why it has infinite surface area nd finite volume?
Way I see it is if the volume has a limit, then when taking the limit of the surface area it just gets smaller and smaller and simply hits well a limit. It just starts to become a line an lines have zero area?
it hurts my head

The concept should be analagous to the dirac delta function (which is 2-D) and extending it to 3-D

if you don't know what that is (you should :p ) its an infinite spike with area 1

0.000...1 = 0
1 - 0.000...1 = 0.9999... = 1 - 0 = 1.

Except that the Dirac Delta function isn't mathematically well-defined as a function. You have to redefine it as a measure-distribution, which makes it much more complicated than this.

i only meant it at the conceptual level of infinite height but finite area
