You just don't realize how to use your calculator... its all just rounding

A number has to terminate before you can round it.

Let x be 0.999...
10x=9.999...
10x-x=9.999... - 0.999...
9x=9
x=1

Unless you can somehow poke a hole in that, you're wrong.
