so when you put out a fraction like 5 4/4 the actual full number = 24/4 for the fraction, you'd divide it to equal 6 right? is that the exact same thing here? all the numbers are going to the top part of the fraction, multiplied by the c part, and then divided into the bottom half of the fraction??? lemme try write that down on paper and see if it works out.

Yup. That's also why people use brackets. It gets messy if there's a lot of stuff. For example 5*4/4 *2 without brackets means 20/4 *2 = 5*2 = 10. With brackets 5*4/(4*2) (Remember, brackets in here mean 4 and 2 are together!!) 20/8 = 5/2 = 2.5.

in numbers it would be like 4/2x4^2

so you'd take away 1 4 , so 2a

then b^3 / b

that's like 18/6

which is 12, so 2 B's stay up top
