I asked my physics prof. and he said that mathematically 0.9(9) does not equal 1. But physically, it does. I hope this helps

HOW ABOUT THIS. IN MATH WE'RE ALWAYS TAUGHT TO ROUND UP IF IT'S .5 OR GREATER, SO .9999.. = 1. GEE GEE OFF MY COCK. =D

Why do people keep saying "it gets closer to," or "approaches," 1? The number is just a dot on the number line that isn't capable of moving.
