Calculators are not useful for proving things

Edit : Are we getting trolled here? No one really thinks it isn't 1 right?

Edit 2 : doing long division to prove 9.00000/9 =0.999... isn't a proof unless first you prove your algorithm is correct

That's what I thought at first. How can anyone HONESTLY not see the difference. Eventually I gave up trying to reason with these people.

If the answer to something is 2.99 (repeated) then you don't put 3, same thing goes here.
