its in hhh, but hhh is basically dead right now.

A) 60 Minutes available to 20 machines = 60 * 20 = 1200 total voting minutes available per hour
50 votes per hour

1200 / 50 = 24 minutes per vote

B.) 1 message per 4 minutes = 15 messages per hour

1000000 messages / 15 messages/hr/user = 66666.666 users per hour

C) 400 pizza per week * .5 lb per pizza = 200 lb per week (6 days)

50 lbs in storage

50 lbs * 6 days/200lbs = 1.5 days

ok, i think i can agree with you on number 2.

but on number 3, why did you multiply 50 * 6 days? the problem did not mention the dough being there for each day. so shouldnt the answer just be 50/200 = .25 a week?

and im still confused with number 1, at the part where theres 1200 minutes available per hour..

50 lbs * (week / 200 lbs ) = .25 weeks

They defined a week as 6 days, I was just converting it to days. .25 * 6 = 1.5 days

They are getting 1.5 days out of their 50 lbs in storage.


Looking at number one a different way.

They get 50 votes per hour with 20 machines. So with only 1 machine they would get (50/20) = 2.5 votes per hour

1 / (2.5 votes per hour ) = .4 hours per vote

.4 hours per vote * 60 minutes per hour = 24 minutes per vote
