Crystal eng sounds cool as well as biomolecular

tbh, civil is a really broad field ( i'm in civil) its amazing, you can litterally get into any project you want. theres always something new to do and theres usually field work so you don't have to sit behind a desk all day. i'm not sure its the same with chemical. I personally wasn't sure what i wanted to do with my life, so i chose something that gave me alot of options

Whenever I look at a consensus of the # of students in engineering fields at different colleges, civil always has the highest number of students. I always wondered why?

mechanical is definately most popular, and most people without a doubt will aso agree that it is the most versatile

I would say chemical but it depends on the school. A chemical engineer that knows CAD is the most versatile IMO.

Look into Electrochemical Engineering. There's more you can do than just this example... but a for-instance.... There are over 1 million miles of pipeline in the US alone. More and more regulations are being thrown out each year, and more and more companies are seeing the benefits of preventive maintenance and prevention when it comes to preserving their pipelines and preventing corrosion. The corrosion industry will never go away because even if the US oil boom ends, there will still be a need to distribute refined and unrefined product through pipelines. Job security is insane and the need for these engineers is very, very high.

Mechanical and Aerospace engineering 5th year senior here. The classes get tough towards the end, but the material really starts to come together and mesh well. Mechanical engineering has a ton of hands-on labs, stuff that I really enjoy. My Aero classes are definitely harder, but learning all the physics and theory surrounding flight and development(design) fascinates me. It's not too bad of you apply yourself and do your homework. I've managed decent grades while playing a ton of video games, so anything is possible..haha.

Well, you take the ~same~ courses in the first year I believe so it doesn't matter. Obviously going to be different levels of math/physics, just take the level you're comfortable with.
