Inter is molecule to molecule attraction and intra is within one molecule. I don't see how this helps me. It seems to me he should have wrote intra instead of inter?

ie. HF is hydrogen bonding because theres many HF molecules in a solution of HF

so H from 1 HF would form hydrogen bonds with F from another HF:

H-F - - - H-F - - - H-F - - - H-F

etc.

I know that numerous HF molecules together make a h bond. My question is one single solitary HF molecule. NOT MULTIPLE.

I also need the other questions answered. Not sure why you guys can't read the post before you type

the question asks about intermolecular forces, hence there are multiple HF molecules. if you are looking at one molecule of each, there would be no intermolecular forces, not just Hbonding, since the single molecule would have nothing to interact with.
