I've got some questions I might as well ask here, to get all of your replies to it.
What I'm really puzzled by, is finding information about these aspects of Canada:

• Popular culture
• Traditions
• Literature
• Politics and national heroes and/or other famous persons. (with emphasis on national heroes & famous persons)

Let's skip politics completely for the moment and focus on the rest!
Basically what I'm asking is, what makes Canada stand out? What's it like living there on an every day basis? With the above points of interest in mind.

For any resident not currently living in Canada but with experience/knowledge about Canada; I'm very interested in what's different between the country you live in/used to live in, and Canada? On an everyday basis, the 'small things'. I've PM'd this question to a few of you as well, but I wanted to give everyone the opportunity to answer.
