Depending on what you're doing, it really is pretty easy. Summation of all forces in X, Y, and Z equal to 0. Find all the forces, sum them up, solve for unknowns to equal 0, and you're golden. Post some questions here, I just took the class last semester. I want to see how yours compare to mine.

I've made thousands of fg over the years helping people with physics homework, usually at ~10-20 fg per question (depending on complexity). If you're in a jam let me know, but keep in mind I'm not around nearly as much as I was in the past.

yea those equations are easy to do. but the thing is figuring out how many forces there are and which direction and sometimes u gotta use geometey to figure some distances out. we're using vector mechanics book by beer and john i think. so the hw problems are from there.

Oh god that stuff is a disaster without solidworks.

Just pray they don't ask you actually design a bridge with your own truss design and member sizes

I remember we had to design a wooden truss bridge and optimizing that was a nightmare

rofl probably not in this course maybe in the future lols. its kind of fun though finding the forces in members. its like figuring out a puzzle but the trick is using geometry figuring out distances
