I was pulled out school some years back to get tested.
I had an IQ of 148.

Because, my teacher recognized that I was extremely advanced. So the following summer, she had me go in for some testing.

you are making no sense. Why do you feel the need to say anything? I don't know you.

if 'russian's argument does not make sense then you lack comprehension skills
some geniuses do, but they are not suitable to help others
btw, 148 (assuming it is not just wishful thinking) is nothing to brag about and does not qualify for genius
you need at least 160 for that http://psychology.about.com/od/psychologicaltesting/f/genius-iq-score.htm

I feel a little silly talking about this because now I feel like I'm nitpicking about something trivial. That wasn't my intent, I was just confused about your statement.
Getting pulled from school means you stop going to school while your peers continue. You could be pulled from school because your parents decide to home-school you, for example. Or maybe you get cancer or something (hopefully not). What you did has nothing to do with getting pulled.
Here's a conversation equivalent to the one we had:

A - "I had to quit my job to get a tooth cavity filled"
B - "Why did you need to quit your job? That only takes a couple hours!"
A - "Because I got this tooth-ache so I went to see the dentist the following weekend".
B - "...ok. That doesn't answer my question at all, but whatever."

Anyway, it really isn't important and I don't really care.

These are common questions, particularly after someone finds out their score from an IQ test.

Lewis Terman (1916) developed the original notion of IQ and proposed this scale for classifying IQ scores:

Over 140 - Genius or near genius

120 - 140 - Very superior intelligence

110 - 119 - Superior intelligence

90 - 109 - Normal or average intelligence

80 - 89 - Dullness

70 - 79 - Borderline deficiency

Under 70 - Definite feeble-mindedness

Oh, sorry. Your grammar had me confused. I was taken out of class to get scheduled for testing.
The program is called TAG and they do IQ tests upon placement.

Idk why ppl are getting so angry and offended by my IQ. lol
I do not consider myself better. My IQ isn't amazingly high, it's just at a genius level.
I'm sure many of you are smarter than me, but that has nothing to do with IQ.

IQ is based mainly on comprehension, and being able to recognize things and learn quicker than a person of average intelligence.

Oh, now that is a tough one... Could you describe the quality, taste, and overall appearance of each?
It may help me come to a 'genius' worthy conclusion. LMAO

Why are you trying to brag? Everyone I know with a high IQ are very modest about their IQ and they realize that an IQ test does not accurately measure a person's intelligence.

exactly and they are age dependent too
we had to take an iq test for military ability testing (compulsory military service where i lived - but i managed to avoid it)
the test supervisor called everyone in after the test to give the score (bandwidth or margin)
and he was pretty surprised when, after he told me "congratulations, your score is in the top 0.3% of the population" i just answered "and?"
when he expressed surprise i quoted him something like ecclesiastes 1:18 B)
