Are you sure about Earthquakes? I'm reading in the book here, it says hurricanes typically strike the country.

Ah, I see here.. It also says.. Because of its location at the convergence of three major tectonic plates, Japan experiences numerous earthquakes... tsunamis, etc.

I also like 5. Japan is mainly a mountainous country with lightly inhabited uplands. Agriculture must therefore share the limited lowlands with cities and suburbs resulting in extremely intensive farming practices.
