if possible, to explain set theory over a computer..
i need to learn it.

I'm reading it out of my textbook but its nothing I've ever seen before.
its crazy confusing for me

hoping someone can simplify it.

what in particular are you covering / do you need to know? basic membership/union/intersect or what?

basically first time ever seeing this (upgrading classes for school) and I never did this in my high school days.
i gather the basic idea behind it i think, but no idea how to come up with formulas etc.

my guess is you're either 1) in an intro class or 2) taking a class that assumes you already understand enough so they skip over it. i'm not sure what "formulas" are used in an intro class, so you're gonna have to give some examples. are you in a class where you have to prove properties and whatnot? are you in a cs class writing code for algorithms?

no idea,
grade 12 math.

ill post a question and you can go from there.
very first question in my booklet.

This picture shows an eight-sided die. The digits on the faces of the die represent elements of a set M

1. represent M in each of the following ways:
a)a written description
b)roster method
c) set notation

2. explain what { } represents when referencing set notation. Give an example.

3. are sets A and B equivalent given a= {2,4,6,8} and b = {1,3,5,7}? explain

have you already tried youtube? might be easier for you to understand than reading text if you're a visual learner.

go through a lot of examples until you get a feel for it.

2. This is the empty set. It is literally the set of which nothing is true (and everything is true). If I tell my mom I ate all of the vegetables on my plate, I'm technically telling the truth if there were no vegetables on my plate in the first place.

(If you REALLY want more info, visit wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vacuous_truth)

3. No, they are not. Sets are equivalent IF AND ONLY IF they have the same elements.
