What would be the moral of a story if both make sacrifice for each other exemple she cut her hairs to get enough money to buy his man a good presents and he sell his watch to have enough money to buy her a good present?


( problem is she bough her something to put on his watch and he bough her some nice combs set , but she got no hair anymore and he sold his watch.. so they cant use both of their presents)

The moral is, don't sacrifice a part of you for someone else because people equal shit.

the moral would be that true love is selfless and in light of that, material things don't have much weight in comparison. it's a moral lesson going beyond altruism but exploring the human condition of making sacrifices for others in spite of having no expectation of having balanced reciprocity.
