I can help out with this. Do you want to make it sort of a rap battle comparing and contrasting characters or similarities and differences in the books? such as, Dido from the Aeneid embodying characteristics of Circe, Calypso, Nausicaa and the Cyclops from the Odyssey? Or what type of rap exactly? Explaining the stories?
My original idea was to do characters within their stories, but my professor liked comparing their individual achievements more
Like I was going to have Homer mention how Virgil was just copying him (as an insult)
Or like Homer saying that even though he is blind, he can still "see" Virgil is a knockoff of his own (homer's) history
Obviously the lines need to rhyme, but even just ideas on what to say would be helpful
It's less of a story telling (but they can definitely brag about indivudual parts of their stories and how great they are), and more of a "this is why I'm a better epic writer than you are"
I kind of want to tie in modern things like Virgil saying he "Pulled a hercules on you and turned a zero to a hero (referring to Aeneas and referrencing Disney's "zero to hero" phrase in their hercules movie). Since Homer portrays Aeneas as a coward, and Virgil as a hero.
Or Virgil saying something along the lines that "You Greeks may have won some battles (troy), but the Romans won the war. Your heros left home for 10 whole years just to get back a whore (helen)."
