How do I solve for x



From (x-1)^2 subtract (x-3)(x-1). The result is
A) (x-1)-(x-3)
B ) 2(x-1)
C) -2(x-1)
D) x(x-1)
Not sure why it made a guy with glasses.

Stick it in your calculator, y1= (1/2)^x
y2=8


See where they cross


Deduce via division

(x-1)(x-1)=x^2-2x+1
(x-3)(x-1)=x^2-4x+3

so the result is 2x-2 which is B

as far as I can tell (1/2)^ - 3 = .125
