any point to them? i figure it's just place to meet active people with the hobbies/goals/etc of the guild members advertised on their homepage...but otherwise they're just there imo :\

Well its a social thing.. can also be helpful in inflating items.. buying up items etc but then youll need to be in a wealthy guild

Never been in a useful guild in all my years on neopets. Seems like more of a social function than anything!
