I've been playing neopets for around a year (mainly just stocks) and want to sell my 8 million np.

However what is a recommended method for safe trading? The stickies didn't have anything, and I'd like to make the trade safe for both me and the buyer

In the message body, tell the ratio you want to sell it at
1FG:5000NP is for quick sale (if you wanna trade it at this amount, I'll personally buy it all from you)
1:4000 is a reasonable price as well, though may take you a while longer
When someone posts that they wish to trade, and you've both agreed upon the amounts, have them set up an auctioned item for the value agreed, or multiple trading posts (800k limit on each)
If you don't feel comfortable doing the trade with the person, request a mediator
Otherwise, screenshot the offer after you make it and make sure the amounts are equal to what was previously agreed (the agreed amount should be kept on this thread to refer back to it)
Assuming no problems arise, the user will send the FG and accept your offer
