I have been playing for about 10 years on an off. I haven't played in probably four years but I have been getting on recently a little bit. I wonder now, what did I even do back then? I remember I would spend all day on the site doing whatever, but now I get on and it just doesn't seem like there is anything to do really besides play games which I remember I never really did back then. I never understood the stock market before but now that is mainly what I am doing, but you can't really spend much time on that. My question is, what do you guys do on the site?

As with all things, try to create a goal for yourself. The goal can be something like : train your pet to x amount and buy it a battledome set ; decorating your dream neohome ; dressing, painting or aquiring your favourite pet; collect stuff (avatars, cards, stamps, rare items , whatever you're interested in) ; aquiring trophies ; maybe making lots and lots of NP( and decide how to spend them later) etc
After you decide on something you'd wanna go for, think of how you can/want to reach that goal. Start off by playing some games ( especialy key quest) to earn some NP, then play the auction house or trading post , or invest in your shop and restock, or play the stock market if you're long term orientated.

If you like them , Neoquest 1 and 2 are great as ways of doing something while you're bored and also get you a moderate income through progress and random events. (if you're more interested in income then play neoquest 2 , some prizes on insane difficulty are worth ~2mil)

i usually leave my habitarium running in the background while i'm on jsp or doing stuff in neopia.
i also do dailies, collect my free omelet of the day, free jelly, spin the wheels, play lottery, do a quest for a faerie, play some of the games that are worth the most neopoints. i use a website that links you to a bunch of dailies

I still enjoy playing some of the games And ofc keeping in touch with some old neofriends
