it depends on the stock every one has a different point and it depends on how you want to play your portfolio... if you go to neodaq.com then you can fined charts that show the history of every stock... stocks stay low for a while then shoot up for a short time and this is represented with a peak in the graph. Just look at the stock and see what its highest or average peak is,
This is where different strategy come into play.. most the time just sell the stock just below the price it usualy hits on its average peak... if your new and have little NP and are just building your portfolio then sell at 30 and double your money every time... once you have a few million NP then you can start saving your stocks and waiting till it hits a new alltime high for that stock to sell... right now I rarely sell a stock under 100 and some stock i would wait till they are higher then that. I have 1mill NP invested in ACFI a verry active stock that hits a peak every few months but its record peak is at 80.. I will wait till this stock is atleast at 100 before I sell just because it represents over 2 months of buying the stock every day at 15 NP so when I sell I want to get at least 6 million profit from it... the rest of my stocks I try and get at least 10k shares of each one then sell it when it hits a new alltime High for that stock... one time I invested 500k into a stock and sold it at 100 then the stock continued to rise up to 860 NP a share and I missed out on 20 million NP that was a sad day so I deff think hard before I sell my stocks
