There is such a wide variety of things to do, it's quite understandable that people of all ages find aspects of Neopets fun, relaxing, or just a great way to kill time while at home or the office! ;D

It was started by college students, for college students as an alternative to going out and spending money on entertainment. Especially since college students don't usually have money to spend on entertainment. Although over the years it has gone from kid friendly to kid oriented over the years (after all parents spend money, college students don't).
errrr regardless of what they say the site is quite obviously oriented towards younger kids.... even if college kids were playing it the over all aesthetic and themes found in the game imply that it's for children.
