I had an account frozen which was pretty old, had sold about 10 mill on it anyway and after a year collected up another 5 mill or so, using a few games in the early months as well as stocks which is basically the only thing i use (and 1k income from bank per day).
It's all small trades, no-one is looking to buy a LOAD of FG, probably found it too risky. I'll expect the ratio to stay the same for quite a while longer until a few players who have plenty of fg buy a tonne.
I must admit most of the points in the following were fairly decent. Sorry but the nitpickers are silly, Neopets can tell if the player owns two accounts and is trading between them or if it's two completely separate computers, so the fact about 3 of you pointed out that you can transfer to own accounts made no difference to the argument anyway.

I got frozen from buying from a no-namer on d2jsp too because they obtained them through cheating at flash games. If you don't want to get frozen, there are many things you can do.
1. Don't use a new account to obtain lots of np.
2. Avoid buying np from people with new accounts, if the np were obtained from cheating at flash games you will get frozen.
3. Don't use auctions to transfer huge sums of neopoints all at once. It's obvious when you're paying 10mil for an old rotten shoe.
4. It is against the rules to transfer items between any two accounts. You are only allowed to give items away as RANDOM acts of kindness. There are easy ways to fake this:
a ) Make a board saying you're quitting/giving away free stuff to the person that makes you laugh or something. The buyer posts in your thread and wins. Totally random act with proof.
b ) Make a trade lot and say either you're quitting or my favorite: "Lowest offer wins." Buyer offers and you accept.
5. Buy from people with aged accounts and know what they're doing.
6. Same as 5, buy from me.
In conclusion, the safest way to trade is to fake random acts of kindness and not to trade for illegally obtained NP such as those gotten from people who cheated at flash games.
