i use to play the game a long time ago, was wanting to try it out again, was really fun game.
anyhow, i have these problems:
1) i tryed downloading:
silkroad R open beta thing - said i could only install the game at the start of the open beta (aka issues installing)
silkroad (normal im guessing) temple viii etc etc, game would not install, infact just like before, it froze up the computer for like 20 minutes as soon as i clicked the install file and then poped up with some error message before anything happened.
i had to download both of these files from fileplanet because im guessing for some reason my computer cant connect to the "peer 2 peer" download directly from joymax. ive tryed opening all firewalls etc but the p2p still wont get any seeders.
(windows firewall, my router/modems/ip's and nortons, tryed em all)
idk wtf is going on or what/why/how.
all i know is id like to play any version of silkroad that i can get working.
im on a laptop, a fairly decent one running vista, have like 2gb ram, intel pentium 32bit duel 1.6ghz
i can afford to tip a little fg and a big thank you to whoever can get me up and running
as well as the knowledge you'd be helping someone play the game you also love.
idk if the fileplanet ones arnt working or if theres a fix for this p2p thing or a better way to get the files, and even then idk if there will still be the issue with my computer not liking the install files or how to go about this.
