Signing up was a pain in the ass telling me I have to use IE then that I have to do everything lowercase for the account signup and all the other restrictions on characters and whatnot... Then downloading an installer that didn't work. And now downloaded idk, I guess part of the game? xpac maybe?

the program you downloaded is actually an installer. if you got from the site (silkroadonline.net) then it should be up to date.
once you run the installer (much faster than the download) you open the game and it will patch it up to date
should be good to go after that

so there is a big update comming to silkroad

they always put the big update on the mainpage ahead of time so everyone can download it sooner

thanks for the info but I already started downloading a different installer >.<

Also one of the installers I dled from the site, wasn't even and executable file.... -.- I tried changing the extension to .exe, but no worked :\
