Chineese characters - usually people who train solo

Europe characters - bigggggg on party system because of unique classes like clerics and bards that buff others, also your hp / mana potion cooldown is 14 seconds compared to 1 second on chineese, which will make you die sometimes if you fight alone.

If you're a european character, you should choose 1 main class tree like warrior/rogue/wizard, and then a sub class like bard/cleric for buffs. This just means that you have one side to deal damage and fight, and another for buffs or aide.

common combinations for bard are:
~ wizard / bard
~ rogue / bard

everything else uses cleric basically.

Chineese characters are a little more tricky, because of buffs and imbues and what trees to raise. If you're new, you'll find that there are 2 basic chars; a pure strength and a pure intellect. One has lots of health and physical defense and hits decent damage, and the int has little health, high magic defense, and hits very high upon using a magical attack with an imbue. People have done different combinations of ratios from str to int, but i would get to know the system a little more before you mess with that.

there's 5 types of weapons but there double sided, so there's really only 3. One handed sword class consists of 2 wep types: sword and blade. swords have high magic attack while blades have high physical attack. the next is polearms, which consist of: spear and glaive. a spear has high magic attack while a glaive has high physical attack. The last is a bow, which can be used for both str dominant chars and int dominant. some common combinations are:

~ pure str glaive
~ pure str blade

~pure int nuker - a nuke is basically a magic attack, and you would use either a spear or sword. people like using sword because you can also wear a shield which increases your defense, which helps because your hp is low.(note you don't get your nukes until level 30, so leveling up to 30 being a pure int is very hard, so i recommend powerleveling.)

Clothing is simple. For chineese there is armor, protector, and garment. armor has high physical defense but little magic, and garment has high magic but low physical, and protector is right about in the middle. Classes that are pure strength usually wear garment because they're physical defense and hp are already so high that the garment increases they're magical damage when they use an imbue. also for extra magic defense. Pure strengths usually wear armor/protector because they already hit really high and have high magical defense from raising int, that they need lots of physical defense.

Europe is even more simple, because usually there are only pure int and str characters because there are no imbues so no one needs hybrids. in fact you do more damage if you only raise one stat depending on what type of attacking character you have (melee or magic). warriors generally use armor for high defense and more physical damage. rogues wear light armor usually because they're pure str already and potions heal more, and mana consumption is less (this applies for chineese as well). wizards have to wear robes, but with your subclass of bard/cleric you can wear light armor if you want, you just do less damage which isn't good. Warlocks are similar to wizards but they can wear light armor by themselves.

To answer your leveling question, a pure int wizard will level the fastest because they kill the fastest, but you'll have difficulties with staying alive. I personally prefer pure str rogues (crossbow) because of high defense and raged attack plus knock back. You hit pretty nice also.

an imbue is an enchantment that lasts a certain period of time. i think the first one is 6 seconds, it just adds magic damage. ice is the weakest but it freezes, lightning is medium and decreases enemy dodge, and fire is the strongest and can burn the enemy (additional damage over time, like for example he'll get hit 100 every 3 seconds from the burn).
