i recommend wizard for you
1hit anything, and not get killed as easily as others say
my wizzy is lv 86 atm, with +5 full blue set, with almost perf blues, and it doesnt die quite easily

i use bard, next to wizz skill, because of noise (mobs dont attack you) + for moving speed
but if i could re do my skills, i would choose cleric.

Hmm I play silkroad now for 3 years, and i have to say that with the currently skill update (lvl 90 cap)
Are the Blader & 1:8 int Sword/Shield( Chinese) and Wizzard/Bard and XBow/bard or cleric (Europe) very strong chars.
The Blader are below lvl 73 very weak, cuz u need the lvl 73 chain combo.
But on lvl 90 they rule the heaven ^^.
If you gonna make a blader put the skills : 90 fire, 90 light, 90 bicheon.
(Stats point only on STR)

The 1:8 int Nuker are very good in Unique hunting and PvP (thanks to the Snowshield)
They are a very strong class and very fast in lvling.
The most important thing is Snowshield and the Knockdown/Stab skills and ofcourse the nukes.
If you gonna make a Sword/Shield put stats on 10 lvl str and 80lvl int
And the skills ice : 90 light :90 and bich 90

Wizzard/Bard is a very strong 1hit Class.
They do onehit or get a onehit, or with good equipt they are the strongest damage dealer class. And in combination with bard the get the speed buff.
all stats points on int.
Skills : wizzard 90 and bard 90

XBow/Bard or Cleric are very good, too. Crossbow make very high crits, and have many hp, cuz off the full str.
With the Bard they get the speed buff, and with Cleric the int/str buff.
Skills : bard 90 or cleric 90 and Xbow 90!
