I used to play SRO a bit and loved it. Was one of my favorite all time mmo's (never got into WoW...) However, the server capacity always (3times) made me quit simply because I could never get into a server. I'm assuming this still persists, but was wandering if it's not as prevalent in any of the servers or if there's perhaps a trick (not asking for anything illegal) to avoid getting locked out of servers. I'd love to start playing again but will quit immediately if I have to go another 4 hour waiting to get into server period.

So, are you actually able to get into server's now? Or is there a way to avoid it? (Leaving comp + game on 24/7 isn't an option)

yes theyres something that when u connect u dont have the disconnect from the server

Besides the gold pass things :/ And how likely is it that I might get banned for using such a thing? (I.e. if they find me using it will I get banned and/or is it detectable)

I'm not as worried about getting dc'd as I am about not being able to connect.

euh they dont ban for anything these days lol...and u login in like 5 min with that program and its undectectable i know plenty of people using it and i was using it but i quit and sellng my account so...

How exactly? I'm sorry for asking so many questions but the way you described it made it sound as though it was a (very popular) anti-dc program and not in fact anything that would actually help you connect to the server. Also, pm me a price for the file and what exactly it does.
