I havent played a pokemon since leaf green, cousin just sent me a 3ds and a Pokemon moon (he works for a retro gaming store)
I have no knowledge of pokemon between gen 3 and 8 or 7 i dont even known what gen we are on.
I'll be starting either this am or Wednesday, im going with the water fairy as water has always been my favorite starter since squirtle. Any tips i should know or goals i should set for myself? I'll be jumping into madness with absolutely no knowledge similar to blue version when i was younger

Its a little late to answer now, but going in blind is the most fun and challenging way to play pokemon imo

Don't look stuff up, go with your guts and build a team like you want, aint noone to tell the future Champion what pokes to use
