Use iPhone and xCode. Spoof GPS.

Chances of getting banned: So-so, but less than using third party applications. XCode tricks the iPhone into thinking it's somewhere else, externally. It's a little buggy though, and standing in one exact long/lat position without moving seems detectable.

I play legit when I go out, but I adjust by spoofing.

So let's say there's a Pokemon I want to catch. I wait an appropriate length of time, put in a GPS location, and make my character walk around that location very slowly. The spoof is done externally, so the phone thinks I'm actually there (it's done through xCode on an Apple computer, not within the phone itself). No jailbreaking or tweaking of any kind.

I usually just like to stay at a triple pokestop though.

I turn off Pokemon Go entirely. Game is off.

I plug phone into computer. Turn on xCode. I choose my GPS coordinates. My phone now thinks I'm where the GPS says on xCode.

I then turn on google maps just to refresh the phone's GPS readings.

I then turn on Pokemon Go, log in, and I'm where I want to be. If I leave my phone plugged into xCode, I will follow a preset walking path that I already created within xCode by manually setting up times and GPS coordinates.

It's slow and cumbersome. I might get banned, I might not. Sniping rare pokemon is an unfair advantage that I take advantage of, but getting to sit at a double or triple pokestop isn't as much...
